HTC Announces Mid-Range Desire L Smartphone

htc desire l

Taiwanese smartphone-maker, HTC has announced it’s mid-range Desire L smartphone in Taiwan. The new smartphone follows the other two mid-range devices that were introduced just a short while back, the HTC Desire P and the Desire Q.
Talking of specifications, the HTC Desire L comes with a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, and gets just 4GB of internal storage along with a micro-SD card slot for storage expansion.
The HTC Desire L will be running on Android Jelly Bean, and though the version has been specified, it will most probably be 4.1.2, which will be customized with HTC’s Sense UI overlay. Sadly, the images indicate that the the smartphone won’t be running the latest version of Sense UI, i.e. Sense 5 and thus, will miss out on a lot of the new features.
At the back, the HTC Desire L gets a 5 megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash, which is capable of recording videos in 720p.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G, while the smartphone also houses an 1,800mAh battery, which might not be enough, considering the fact that battery life on HTC smartphones isn’t as great as some of it’s competitors.
The HTC Desire L will come in white, black and pink color options. There are no details on the pricing and availability of the smartphone as now, but we should hear some more details about the smartphone from HTC soon.
