Facebook rolled out it’s newest feature, the Graph search just a while back and though it’s still in it’s Beta stage, many users have been waiting to try it out on their profiles. As of now, the Facebook Graph search is only available to select users as Facebook points out, is in “a very limited beta program for English (US) audiences”.
Though, search is already available on Facebook but the new Facebook Graph Search makes the search quite easy and allows users to type in their natural language rather than specific keywords if they wish to search for anything. Using the Graph Search, users can quickly search for any information they might need about people, photographs, places and interests within their social connections.
Though some might believe that with the new Graph Search, Facebook takes another another step in a bid to compete with Google, but Mark Zuckerberg says that unlike Google, the Facebook Graph Search isn’t a web search but a search that would give you results based on what your connections on Facebook have shared.
All said and done, the big question is- When will the users actually be able to use Facebook’s Graph Search feature? Well, Facebook has not given a clear time frame as of now but however, it does let you sign up for the Graph Search so that when it starts to roll out for more users, the people who have registered get to use it first.
If you want to join the waiting list to use Facebook Graph Search, you can sign up for it here and click on “Join Waiting List” at the bottom of the page. We don’t exactly know what the criteria is, but you never know when you might get lucky and the graph search pops up at the top of your Facebook profile!
