Mirror, mirror on the wall...
Have you ever dreamed of having your very own magical mirror that lets you know you are the most awesome person of all? Well if you have, that dream may never come true, but this augmented reality mirror created by the New York Times Research & Development Lab could be the closest thing to a magical mirror out there. This nifty mirror features an attached Kinect sensor and an integrated PC that basically turns the mirror into a large LCD display that is capable of feeding you your daily dosage of news, along with any other important information such as calendar events or weather reports. The one thing that sets the display apart from just having a tablet installed in your bathroom, is that it can use the Kinect SDK and an integrated RFID tag reader to do some pretty awesome things.
Magic Mirror
This means the mirror is capable of pulling up and displaying all of the important information from prescription drugs or medication such as how many tablets to take, side-effects and what the medication treats. Another neat trick of the mirror is that it can do a quick scan of your current clothing and make suggestions based on colors, trends, or previous outfits.
