ASUS Transformer 2 Will Have Tegra 3

It will be the most powerful tablet in its segment

Banking on the success of its Transformer tablet, ASUS is going to launch the Transformer 2, which will be faster and more efficient than its predecessor. The secret of its power will lie in the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, under its hood asclaimed by a report. The first generation Transformer had a 1 GHz Tegra 2 processor.

The new Tegra 3 quad core processor code named Kal El, has been claimed to be faster than Intel's Core 2 Duoprocessors. Its new architecture allows it to run at cooler temperatures, offering a better battery life. The Transformer 2 will also sport a keyboard dock, which will help save battery.

The new tablet will reportedly sport dimensions of 7" x 10" x 0.5", and a 10.1" 1200x800 display. Other details have not reached us, yet!. If all goes well, the tablet might hit the Indian market in October, and will carry a reported price tag of about Rs 18,200.
