Micromax new budget Android smartphone in India, the A30 Smarty 3.0, is currently available on various online portals.
Micromax has added yet another smartphone to its budget portfolio – the A30 Smarty 3.0. The budget smartphone is priced at Rs. 3,849. The A30 comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which feels like a disappointment considering we have budget devices running ICS available. But, then again, this seems okay considering the price point. Apart from the Google Play store, the A30 also boasts of Micromax’s Mi! Zone, M store and Mobile Tracker, which we have seen on other devices from the company.
Micromax A30 Smarty 3.0 boasts of dual-SIM capabilities and in terms of other specifications it has an 832MHz CPU with 256MB of RAM, 512MB ROM, expandable up to 32GB via microSD. The 3-inch touchscreen display has a resolution of 320x240 pixels. The rear of the device has a 2MP camera and it compromises on a front facing camera. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0. The device also compromises on GPS.
The Micromax A30 Smarty 3.0 also has a 1500mAh Li-ion battery and Micromax claims that it will last for 6 hours of 2G-talk time.
The smartphone carries an MRP of Rs. 5,500 but it is listed on Saholic for Rs. 3,849 and Shop Clues for Rs. 3,999. Surprisingly, we couldn’t find the device on Flipkart.
Micromax is one of the leading players when it comes to budget devices in India. It has done very well in the 5-inch budget device segment with the launch of the Micromax Canvas 2 A110.
