How does a dual-core Galaxy Tab 7 sound?
Samsung's 7-inch Galaxy Tab was starting to look a little out-of-place next to its bigger brothers, the Galaxy Tabs 8.9 and 10.1. While the latter two are super-slim, dual-core Tegra 2 beasts packing Honeycomb, the 7-inch Galaxy Tab, which first went on sale last fall, is slightly chunkier, stuck on Froyo and based on a 1GHz Hummingbird CPU. However, Samsung has finally seen fit to update the Galaxy Tab 7 so it better matches the rest of the Galaxy Tab line.
Today at IFA Berlin, Samsung took the wraps off a brand new tablet dubbed Galaxy Tab 7.7. Boasting a 1.4Ghz dual-core CPU, a 7.7-inch 1280x800 WXGA Super AMOLED Plus display, support for 1080p playback, LTE/HSPA+, WiFi, up to 64GB of storage, and Android 3.2, this is definitely on par with Samsung's bigger Galaxy Tabs. Size-wise, it measures in at .31 inches thick and weighs just 335g.
No word on pricing and availability just yet, but we're expecting to hear more about this Galaxy Tab at CTIA and CES.
