Two 23-inch LG monitors to be unveiled at

IFA 2011 begins on the 2nd of September, 2011 and LG have already announced a couple of 23-inch monitors, which are set to be showcased at the event in Berlin. LG has claimed that these two monitors, the E91 and the D237IPS are 'savvy' monitors that redefine design and function. The main feature of the E91 is its 7.2 mm depth and acrylic finish, while the D237IPS boasts LG’s Film Pattern Retarder (FPR) 3D display technology on an IPS panel.

Besides the 7.2 mm depth and thin bezel that measures just 4.35 mm, the E91 features SUPER+ Resolution that allows high picture quality for any digital content. LG claims that this Super+Resolution prevents any decrease in resolution during format upgrades while also helping in sharpening blurry edges. Besides being energy efficient, the E91 boasts a high contrast ratio of more than 10,000,000:1.

The D237IPS besides featuring FPR 3D technology, boasts Flicker Free certification from European quality assurance agencies TÜV and Intertek. LG claims that this 3D monitor also features lower crosstalk that ensures less dizziness and headaches, which is commonly experienced while viewing 3D monitors. Further helping to reduce a strain on the eyes, the D237IPS features a brightness of 100 nit for a clearer 3D picture. Along with the monitor, LG have thrown in a pair of ultra light battery-less 3D glasses, which help in the comfort factor while viewing this display. Apart from this the 3D IPS monitor broadens the viewing angle so that viewers can enjoy 3D from a wider range of positions. There is also a 2D to 3D conversion option found on this monitor.

As for pricing and availability, no word is yet out. But with IFA just around the corner, we should get an indication soon.
