Motorola is reported to be working on a new budget-centric smartphone, dubbed as Moto C. After Moto X (2017) was teased by Motorola, it seems that the same video also showcased another smartphone, which could be none other than Moto C.
The screen grab of the announced Moto smartphone was posted by famous tipster Evan Blass, who later confirmed that the device is Moto C. The screen grab shows the white colour variant of the upcoming smartphone. Further, a Weibo user posted a new image of the Moto C, which shows the device from front and back panel and reveals that the upcoming smartphone might come with black, gold and red colour variants.
Upon close inspection, one would find physical navigations button at the base of the front panel, while the top boasts a front-facing camera along with earpiece and usual array of sensors. The size bezels are quite visible and the front looks similar to other Moto products. At the back panel, one will see a primary camera hump, similar to what we have seen in Moto G5 Plus, along with a LED flash. Just beneath it, you will find Moto logo and at the base, there is a speaker grille.
As for specifications are concerned, the smartphone is touted to boasts either a 5-inch or 5.2-inch HD display. Under the hood, there would be either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor or MediaTek MT6580 SoC. On the camera front, the device might boast a 16-megapixel rear camera coupled with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies.
The smartphone is said to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and will be juiced by a 3,800mAh battery. However, there is no way to authenticate this information, so we suggest to hold your horses as it is just another rumour on the grapevine.
Motorola is also said to be working on this year’s Moto E series and the devices have recently received Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification. It is reported that the company is working on three devices under this series, which would be named as Moto E4, Moto E4 Plus and Moto E4 Power.
