After unveiling the device yesterday at the Mobile World Congress 2017, Motorola has now confirmed that its Moto G5 Plus will hit the Indian smartphone market on March 15. Moto India's official twitter handle posted an image with a caption that read - "You either get a flaunt-worthy phone or a fast processor. #WhyCompromise when you can get both? Wait for the #MotoG5Plus. Arriving on 15/03." The company hasn't revealed the price at which it will launch the Moto G5 Plus and we also don't know if we will witness the launch of its younger sibbling, the Moto G5, at the event.
Quickly breifing you to the specs of both the devices, the Moto G5 Plus comes with a 5.2-inch full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone comes in two options—2GB/32GB variant along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage model. There is also a microSD card slot through which one can expand storage up to 128GB.
On the camera front, the device sports 12-megapixel rear camera with aperture f/1.7, 1.4-micron pixels, dual AF pixels and LED flash. For the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone is backed by 3000mAh battery and support connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC and micro USB port. The phone measures 150.2 x 74 x 9.7 mm and weighs 155 grams.
The Moto G5 on the other features a 5-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of a 1980 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU. The phone is backed by a 2GB of RAM and an option of 16GB and 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
In terms of optics, the Moto G5 sports a 13-megapixel with aperture f/2.0, 1.1-micron pixels and PDAF, while for the front, there is a 5-megapixel shooter. The device comes with removable 2800mAh battery coupled with 10W rapid charger and supports connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and micro USB port. The device measures 144.3 x 73 x 9.5 mm and weighs 144.5 grams.
