Its been more than a month since Apple launched iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and strangely there hasn't been much rumours about the new Macbook Pro which was rumoured a lot before the iPhone event. However, as per a latest report of Macotakara, Apple might launch the new MacBook Pro later this month, October 27th to be precise. Moreover, it may also launch a new refreshed variant of MacBook Air which will come with 13 inch display. Sadly, the 11-inch variant of MacBook Air will probably be discontinued.
The latest reports have also suggested that Apple is likely to include USB Type-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports instead of MagSafe connectors and traditional USB and Thunderbolt 2 ports. Apple implemented something similar in last year's 12-inch MacBook but hopefully it includes more than one USB Type-C portthis time and also we would love if Apple don't ditch the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Though we don't expect Apple to include a micro SD slot or HDMI port.
Earlier, reports from Bloomberg also claimed that the new MacBook pro will boast better graphics and Apple will finally introduce Intel's Skylake processors which will provide better performance and power efficiency.
Still, the most anticipated feature in the new MacBook is said to be the OLED panel located just above the keyboard. This OLED panel will be called 'Dynamic Function Row' and users will be able to control a bunch of controls through this OLED screen. Apple is also expected to slim down the new MacBook Pro. Further, there have been rumours before about Apple integrating the famous Touch ID into the new MacBook Prowhich in our opinion is long due.
Apple is also rumoured to launch a 5K standalone monitor with integrated GPUs. For this the company is said to be working with LG though there haven't been information and leaks about the same.
