LG has silently launched a phone with 3.8 inch IPS display. The phone comes with 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB inbuilt memory and 1700 mAh battery.
LG has silently announced a new phone in its L series, called LG Optimus L4II Dual E445. The phone is listed on the LG India site and is priced at Rs 9,850.
LG Optimus L4II Dual is a 3G phone with two SIM slots and runs on a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB inbuilt memory. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based phone has a 3.8 inch IPS panel display with low 320 x 480 resolution.
There is only one 3 megapixel fixed focus camera at the back with VGA resolution video capability. The phone runs on a 1700 mAh battery with 10 hours claimed talktime.
In terms of additional features LG has put in a smart SIM switch key to switch between two SIM cards and there is also a smart forward feature which allows incoming calls on one SIM to be diverted to other in case the phone other SIM is being used.
The phone is priced in the range where Indian manufacturers have pitted their quad core phones with larger 4.5 inch display or even a 5 inch display. And given the improved quality that these handsets come with, LG will have a tough time in selling this phone.
However LG Optimus L4II Dual competes well with phones like Sony Xperia E, HTC Desire C, and recently launched Samsung Galaxy Fame - all priced in almost the same range.
