Celkon has launched their latest smartphone, the A119 Signature HD for a price of Rs.13,499 in the Indian market. The smartphone offers a decent set of specifications for it’s price, but isn’t the most powerful Android smartphone in it’s segment.

For starters, the Celkon A119 comes with a 5-inch display capacitive touchscreen display with a 720p resolution and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Celkon A119 Signature HD should be able to give a smooth user experience because of the raw power under the hood.
However, you can easily get a smartphone with a quad-core processor under the hood at this price point but it won’t match up with the Celkon A119 Signature HD as far as it’s key highlight is concerned, which is it’s 12 megapixel rear camera and the 3 megapixel front facing camera. That is probably one of the best camera smartphones available at this price point, on paper at least.
The Celkon A119 Signature HD comes with 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB using a micro SD card. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G and the smartphones houses a 2,100mAh battery, which according to the company can give a talk time of about 5.1 hours.
Celkon A119 Signature HD surely takes a bit different route in the Indian smartphone market, which is currently flooded with budget quad-core smartphones.
