With Mobile World Congress just around the corner, details regarding the Sony Xperia SP have once again surfaced online and reveal that the Xperia SP would be a mid-range device which Sony is expected unveil during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which begins on February 25.
The rumored list of specifications for the Sony Xperia SP suggest that the smartphone would sport a 4.6-inch 720p display and would be powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960T processor and Adreno 320 GPU but the amount of RAM on the device is still unknown. The upcoming smartphone is also expected to come with 8GB of internal storage along with a micro-SD card slot for storage expansion by up to 32GB.
The Sony Xperia SP will house an 8 megapixel Exmor camera at the back and is expected to boast of an all-aluminum build with a removable plastic back cover. Running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, the Sony Xperia SP will have a dimensions of 130.6 x 67.1 x 9.98 mm and would weigh-in at about 155 grams.
Considering the rumored specifications of the Sony Xperia SP, it can be assumed that the upcoming smartphone from Sony would sit right below Sony’s flagship smartphones- Xperia Z and Xperia ZL. We expect to learn more about the device in just a few days from now, when the Mobile World Congress kicks-off in Barcelona.
