A new report reveals the massive popularity that Samsung phones enjoy among Android users, with eight out of the ten most popular Android devices, coming from the Korean manufacturer's stable. The report published by Localytics, an app analytics company, shows that the Samsung Galaxy S III is the most popular handset among Android users followed by the Galaxy S II and the Galaxy Ace.
Localytics explains that they used data garnered from app usage across Android devices to come up with their list of “Top 10 Android Devices by Users (Jan 2013)” and explains Samsung's amazing showing in the list by pointing out that Samsung is already responsible for 47% of Android devices worldwide.
The list only has two non-Samsung devices- the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet and the Motorola Droid Razr. Localytics also notes that the Kindle Fire makes up 37% of all Android tablets, with a majority of those users coming from the U.S.
