Huawei has launched a new budget Android smartphone in the Indian market- the Huawei Ascend Y210D at a price of Rs.4,999. The Android 2.3 Gingerbread running smartphone is available from the online retailer Snapdeal as of now while it can be pre-ordered through Flipkart as well. Of late, the sub-Rs.5,000 segment has seen a lot of action as various manufacturers have launched devices at this price point.
The Huawei Ascend Y210D boasts of a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that has a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon A5 processor paired with 256MB of RAM and gets 512MB of on-board storage, which can be expanded by up to 32GB using a micro-SD card.

The budget Android smartphone gets a dual-SIM card slot (GSM+GSM) and houses a 2 megapixel rear camera but misses out on a front-facing camera. The Huawei Ascend Y210D packs-in a 1,700mAH battery and gets all the standard connectivity options like 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.
The Huawei Ascend Y210D is expected face stiff competition from the likes of recently launched Micromax A35 Bolt and the Spice Smart Flo Mi-351. The Micromax A35 Bolt retails at about Rs.4,250 in the Indian market and offers a 1GHz processor, a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen display, Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, 2 Megapixel rear camera along with a 0.3 Megapixel front camera, 160MB internal storage and a 1,500mAh battery. On the other hand, the Spice Smart Flo Mi-351 boasts of a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, 1GHz processor paired with 256MB of RAM, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 3.2 megapixel rear camera with LED flash along with a 1.3 megapixel front camera, 512MB of on-board storage and a 1,600mAh battery and has a price tag of Rs.3,699
