HTC is expected to showcase two more smartphones other than the M7 at its February 19 event. The new HTC smartphones being rumoured are the M4 and G2.
Rumours regarding the new HTC M4 and G2 come from UnwiredView. These two devices are expected to hit retail stores this spring whereas the M7 will be shipping before this month-end. Interestingly, the M7 was made official by the company chairman Peter Chou ahead of the slated announcement.
First up is the HTC M4, which is expected to feature a 4.3-inch 720p display and powered by a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. It has 2GB of RAM. Other key specs of the device include 16GB built-in storage, 13MP camera with F/2.0 lens, a 1.6 MP front-facing camera and LTE support. The battery capacity is likely to be 1700 mAh. The HTC M4 will have Sense 5.0 on top of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The HTC G2 will be a budget smartphone with Ice Cream Sandwich, powered by a single-core 1GHz processor. The G2 has 512MB of RAM. Other key specs of the device include 3.5-inch display HVGA resolution (320 x 480 pixels), microSD card slot and 1400mAh battery. The HTC G2 is considered to be an upgraded version of the Desire C, which also runs ICS.
