Temple Run 2 begins where Temple Run left off, with an advanced mix of new skills and exciting scenery the character involves the play to quite an extent. iMangi saw a significant decline in the Temple Run user base hence a new game had to be in tow.

Gamplay and Graphics

The game is significantly similar to the original with most of the gestures based on the original game. With Temple Run 2 however you will see a mix of Temple Run and Temple Run Brave with added abilities.
The evil chasing monkeys are replaced with a single giant monkey that makes elephant noises, and manages to follow you through all obstacles without any change in its movement. Something that could have been fixed in this version of the game, the fact that the monster runs through the fire under the rocks and through empty space clearly shows the game developers mood to not add extra effort into the existing gaming engine.
However, the new features are interesting with curvy paths, interesting ziplines and a mine cart track that add a lot more interactivity in the gameplay of Temple Run 2, almost making it feel like a new game altogether.

User Experience

While the gameplay is really fun to begin with, most players will be forced to belive that they are playing a prettied up version of Temple Run as Temple Run 2 after a few hours of gameplay leads into monotony. The same sliding, swiping and jumping that the game began with. You still have all the old characters, and they have also been enhanced in terms of looks, adding new power-ups and ways to deploy those power-ups.

Verdict

Temple Run 2 bring a lot of interactivity to a game that has lived its full life, it re launches the Temple Run saga, but forgets to enhance on the story board. While the game may be an interesting choice for combating transit boredom,  most users will get past this game sooner than they did from the original Temple Run. Simply because its the same game with more make up.
