The Bottom Line
The Nokia Lumia 920 is the company’s big ticket comeback in the smartphone segment and to some extent, the phone manages to live up to all the hype surrounding it. The big question is, does the Lumia 920 has enough power to edge ahead of the signature Windows Phone 8 device, the HTC 8X?

Initial impressions:

It might not be the signature Windows Phone 8 handset, but is surely is the most feature-packed Windows Phone 8 device and Micosoft would be pinning a lot of it’s hopes on the Nokia Lumia 920. This device is quite crucial for the Finnish smartphone maker Nokia as well, as it hopes to bounce back in the smartphone market.
The Nokia Lumia 920 boasts of some serious specifications and new features that make it stand apart from the other Windows Phone 8 handsets, namely the HTC 8X and Samsung Ativ S. The phone is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 processor along with 1GB of RAM and boasts of an impressive 4.5-inch display that comes with a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels, and to protect this gorgeous display from scratches, it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
The phone comes with 32GB of storage but there’s no micro-SD card slot for storage expansion, which might be an issue for some but frankly, 32GB is enough space to keep us from complaining unlike with the HTC 8X which comes with only 16GB of storage and no expansion there, as well. The rear of the Nokia Lumia 920 houses an 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, and Nokia touts to have given the camera an optical image stabilization feature, so you don’t worry about shaky images anymore. The front on the Lumia 920 gets a 1.9 megapixel camera which is capable enough of recording videos in 720p.
Overall the device feels quite bulky but at the same time, fits nicely into the hand. The Lumia 920 has a 2,000 mAh battery, and in our opinion Nokia could’ve done better here. Keep watching this space for our full review of the Nokia Lumia 920.
