Adding to it’s lineup of budget Android smartphones in India, Micromax has silently launched the A54 Smarty at a price of Rs.4,659 and is an upgrade to the existing Micromax A25.
The Micromax A54 smarty boasts of a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touch screen display and has a dual-SIM card slot. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7225AA processor clocking at 1GHz paired with just 256MB of RAM. The A54 smarty runs on the older, Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread.

The rear of the A54 smarty gets a 3-megappixel snapper without flash and as you would expect from an entry level device, misses out on a front facing camera as well. The smartphones comes with only 150MB of internal storage but can be expanded by up to 32GB using a micro-SD card.
For connectivity, the Micromax A54 Smarty gets Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and micro-USB 2.0 and houses a 1,300 mAh battery which according to the company, can give a talktime of up to 4 hours.
The Micromax A54 smarty is only available through the online retailer Infibeam as of now, but will probably soon show up at other online retailers as well as stores across the country.
