Bluetooth certification reveals LG Optimus G2


LG Optimus G2 model number and screen resolution gets confirmed in two separate instances of UAProfile and Bluetooth certification.

A new LG smartphone, supposedly the successor of Optimus G, has been revealed. The handset in news has been identified with the model number LG-E980 from the Bluetooth SIG certification website.
Earlier, it was reported that LG is working on a smartphone called Optimus G2 with a 5.5-inch full HD display and quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 family mobile processor. Interestingly, the Bluetooth SIG also gave certification to the same model number LG-E980 bearing smartphone. And the listing pointed out that the LG-E980 will also support 4G LTE Network.

The LG Optimus G2 is expected to have a 5.5-inch touchscreen display and by default the resolution will be 1080x1920 pixel resolution natively. The details about the display resolution also surfaced in UAProf file and was spotted by MyLGPhones. With that confirmation, we do expect to see a greater quality display quality with such full HD resolution. The model number LG-E980 for the Optimus G2.

Now the interesting aspect lies in the usage of the mobile processor in this smartphone. The rival company Samsung will use its 28nm fabrication process built Exynos 5 quad core processor. LG will use a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile processor.
