Zync launches calling tablet for Rs 6,990


The Zync Z99 comes with 2G support and a fast hardware configuration.

Indian tablet manufacturer, Zync has announced the launch of a brand new low cost 2G calling tablet for the Indian market. Known as the Zync Z99, it is the first ever 2G only calling tablet from the brand, and carries a price tag of Rs 6,990.

Along with 2G calling and internet connectivity, the tablet offers 3G connectivity though only through data cards. The idea behind this tablet is to provide a simple yet price effective connectivity medium to tablet buyers, with some decent hardware specifications as well.

The Zync Z99 tablet comes with a 7- inch display featuring a resolution of 480 x 800 pixel and a capacitive, five point sensitive touch input system. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz single core processor and features 512 MB of RAM for smoother operations.

The tablet comes with dual cameras a 0.3 megapixel camera to support video calling in the front and a similar 0.3 megapixel camera at the back for imaging and video recording. The Zync Z99 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and has 4 GB in- built memory for storage that can be expanded by 32 GB through a micro SD card.
Z99, like several other products from the company, also has the BigFlix application embedded in the tablet, which gives a seamless movie experience to film buffs. And to give unparalleled experience the company will be giving 1 month's subscription of the service free to customers.
