LG exec says Nexus 4 launching in India by November-end: Report

Google's LG-built Nexus phone, dubbed as the Nexus 4, is reportedly hitting the Indian market by the end of the next month.
While talking to IBN Live on the sidelines of the Optimus Vu launch, Amit Gujral, head of Mobile Product Planning LG says, "Google will unveil the LG Nexus on October 29 and the phone will be available in the Indian markets by the end of November."
The official also revealed details of the technical specifications of the LG Nexus smartphone. According to Gujral, the phone will feature a “4.7-inch screen, run Android 4.2 OS, and will be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor."
Google is already gearing up for a mega event on October 29 where it is expected to reveal other Jelly Bean-ready devices including a Samsung-built 10-inch slate, dubbed as the Nexus 10.
Among the top devices expected to be revealed at the event is the LG Nexus 4. The device, considered to be an alternate version of the Optimus G, would be fourth phone in the Google Nexus series. Google has previously released three Nexus phones - the first with HTC in 2010 and the following two with Samsung.
The availability of the Nexus 4 only a month after the official unveiling hints at Google's attempts at pushing the device to more markets, as compared to the previous hardware – something we saw Samsung doing with the Galaxy S III. Also, LG might be looking to tap the Indian market, something which top brands have been eyeing for long.
Right now, sights are set on Google's October 29 event where the Internet giant will aim to drive away limelight from Apple's iPad mini unveiling on October 23 and Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 launch on October 29.
