Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus now official


Samsung’s Ace Plus has been in the market for a while now and it seems that Samsung have just woken up and finally decided to send out the press release. They’ve launched the Galaxy Ace Plus for Rs.18,150 and will be offering a Samsung Bluetooth headset (BHM1000) worth Rs.1,299, along with it. In fact, online sites like Flipkart have been selling the Ace Plus for about Rs.15,500 and they’ve been bundling along a 16GB microSD card as well, along with the headset.

Building on the heritage of GALAXY Ace, the GALAXY Ace Plus is a stylishly designed smartphone with a modern and minimalist casing with rounded edges and featuring an affordably-sized 3.65-inch HVGA display. The phone has been designed to be simple, yet elegant. The GALAXY Ace Plus is backed by a 1GHz processor and HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity, providing seamless browsing and multitasking suitable for today’s young professionals. Wi-Fi 802.11’n’ functionality enables high speed for browsing, downloading and video streaming. Application startups are faster with virtually no lag time, even while multitasking. Additionally, an impressive 2GB of storage capacity for multimedia content, expandable up to 32GB, allow users greater content freedom and usability.

Running on the Android Gingerbread and featuring Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface, the GALAXY Ace Plus allows users to handle mobile tasks faster and more efficiently. New music playback functionality features a play progress bar and the ability to view music tracks in folders. Call features allow users to reject calls with text messages and add unwanted callers to a black list log. For added productivity, users also have the option of using ThinkFree, a tool that enables viewing and editing of Office documents, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDFs, while on the move.

The GALAXY Ace Plus enables users to stay connected through Samsung’s Social Hub, Music Hub and ChatON services. ChatON, connects phone users across all mobile platforms into a single community using phone numbers instead of usernames and passwords. The ChatON feature provides instant messaging, group chatting and sharing of content in multiple formats including images, video, voice, contacts, calendar, etc. to make messaging simpler and more intuitive.
