Sony launches NWZ-B170 series of Walkman MP3 players

Sony was the brand that revolutionized portable music players by launching the Walkman, many years ago. Though there has been a sea of evolution in this sphere of portable music players over the years, Sony has still been a strong player in this game and has continued to launch products that have successfully kept up with the times. Their Walkman range has been one of their longest standing products and the brand continues to build up on this form of technology. Keeping this in mind, Sony India has expanded its Walkman MP3 player family with the new NWZ- B170 series by introducing the NWZ-B172 and NWZ-B173, which they claim deliver one’s favourite beats in a flashy new design. This series of Walkman MP3 players also enhance the audio experience by simply pressing the BASS Boost button, which helps in providing rich and pumping low-ends.

Available in a range of colours

The new models the NWZ-B172 and the NWZ-B173 have built-in lithium-ion batteies, which delivers up to 18 hours of music playback and the Quick Charge function delivers 90 minutes of music with just a mere three-minute charge. Sony claims that wherever you go, the NWZ-B170 Series makes sure you always have your music with you. The NWZ-B170 Series also exudes fashion chic with four colour choices and a new colour-matching power illuminator, which flashes in sync with the rhythm of the music. In addition, a detachable clip makes it significantly easy to accessorize with any outfit.

With the NWZ-B170, you don’t have to spend hours trying to manage your music, owing to the sleek and simple USB-dongle design, which allows one to plug it into their Windows PC. Users can drag and drop the tracks they want and they’re ready to go. Sony claims that searching through the hundreds of songs on one's Walkman is just as easy with their unique ZAPPIN. The NWZ-B173, which is the higher end model is available in India at a price of Rs.3,990 and comes with a storage capacity of 4GB. The second model, the MWZ-B172, is available with a storage capacity of 2GB and is priced in India at Rs.2,990. Both models are available in colours, such as black, red, pink and gold. These MP3 players can be purchased across all Sony Center and other major electronic outlets across India.
