Starting today, a new software update for the Nokia Lumia 800 will be rolled out in all the countries where the phone is currently available. As reported by Conversations by Nokia, the update got a few improvements in the form of performance and usability enhancements.
The updates include:
- Charging improvements
- Voicemail notification improvement
- Replying to mail improved for Microsoft Exchange 2003 users
- Improved display switching in bright light
- Improved audio quality
New updates available
The update roll out has been tied down to a max number of simultaneous downloads, assumably to prevent over clogging of their servers. Also, it will be rolled out over the course of two weeks and can be downloaded through Microsoft Zune. We’re not big fans of Zune, as mentioned in ourOmnia W review, but that’s the only option, which is available, at the moment. Another update will hit shelves in early 2012, i.e. about a month from now and it’s aimed to provide more improvements to the software. So, all you Lumia 800 users out there, if you’ve got your phone updated, let us know your feedback in the comments section below.
