Morphix technologies creates useful device for military, law enforcement and emergency medical use.
Originally developed by the U.S. Marine Corps, the Chameleon chemical detection device is an innovative gadget that allows its wearer to detect toxic gases in the air. Since relying on our sight isn't the greatest idea in identifying potentially harmful gases, Morphix Technologies, creator of the Chameleon, has decided to explore the device's potential in other areas.
Due to increasing risks of exposure to toxins in the field of emergency respondents, Morphix has begun to examine the benefits for the Chameleon in the hands of policemen, firefighters and emergency medical personnel. By utilizing colormetric badges that analyze the air quality of the environment, the Chameleon is able to provide instant detection of up to ten different toxic hazards at a time.
When the wearer steps into an area where toxic gases are present, half of the viewing window for that specific hazard will begin to change colors. A particularly rugged device prepared for harsh weather conditions, the Chameleon requires no power or configuration and can even be submerged in water for up to an hour while retaining its detection abilities.
Although the device has obvious purposes for military and law enforcement personnel, the Chameleon is also a useful gadget for any industrial workers working with dangerous chemicals.
