$199 ViewPad Ready for Pre-Orders on Amazon

Viewsonic's ViewPad 7e is now available for pre-order on Amazon, but currently there's no estimated street date.
SlashGrear reports that Amazon is now taking pre-purchase reservations (aka pre-orders) for ViewSonic's super-cheap $199.99 Android tablet, the ViewPad 7e. Currently the listing doesn't specify exactly when the 7-inch tablet actually ships, but the online retailer will gladly take your money regardless.
As seen during the IFA electronics show last week, the tablet will sport a white bezel, a 7-inch RiteTouch multi-touch screen (1024 x 600), a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor, 512 MB of RAM, Google's Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" OS, 4 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for up to 32 GB of additional storage. Surprisingly, the cheaply-priced tablet will even sport a mini-HDMI port for pumping out 1080p video to an external HDMI-enabled display.
As for other specs, the tablet will feature Wi Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR connectivity, a G-Sensor for auto rotation, an ambient light sensor, a 3MP rear-facing camera and a 0.3MP front-facing camera and support for Flash 10.3. The device will measure 0.6 x 7.6 x 5.4-inches and weigh 1.06 pounds.
ViewSonic's $199 tablet actually doesn't sound too shabby for the price. Stay tuned for the official release date... probably in the coming weeks.
